Our reason for starting YellowTree
Farm originates out of a concern about
worldwide starvation and malnutrition,
augmented by sobering statistics about
the ecological harm being done by
current food production methods
dominating the world.
We believe that if one person could
supply his or her own needs in a
sustainable way, we might arrive at a
solution.
What if a person could, in a tiny area,
raise all the crops that would supply all
the food, compost, seeds, and income
for an entire year?
This is our challenge at YellowTree
Farm - to see if we can do just that.
"Population will increase rapidly, more rapidly than in former times, and 'ere long the most valuable of all arts will be the art of deriving a comfortable subsistence from the smallest area of soil." ~Abraham Lincoln
